İlim ve amel bütünlüğünü dikkate alan bir yol olan tasavvuf, nefsin kötü hallerinden arındırılması amacıyla bazı ibadetlere özel ilgi göstermiştir. Zikir ve dua bu bağlamda sûfînin hayatında önemli bir yere sahiptir. Hadis rivayetlerinin tedvin ve tasnifiyle birlikte başta Hz. Peygamber aleyhisselama ait olanlar olmak üzere pek çok zikir ve dua, hadis edebiyatının özellikle konulu türde yazılmış eserlerinde müstakil ya da farklı başlıklar altında toplanmıştır. Bu başlıklardan mülhem değişik zaman ve dönemlerde gittikçe sistemleşen yapısıyla tasavvufî ekoller, zikir ve dua hususunda gereken titizliği göstererek bazı dua mecmuaları oluşturmuşlardır. Bu gayeyle hazırlanmış eserlerden birisi de tanıtım ve değerlendirmesini gerçekleştireceğimiz DUA (Ayet ve Hadislerden Dua Okumaları-Evrâd-ı Şerîfe) kitabıdır.

Sufism, which is a way that takes into account the unity of knowledge and practice, has paid special attention to some worships in order to purify the soul from bad states. In this context, dhikr and prayer have an important place in the life of the Sufi. Along with the compilation and classification of the hadith narrations, many dhikr and prayers, especially those belonging to the Prophet (pbuh), have been gathered under separate or different titles in the works of hadith literature, especially written in thematic type. Inspired by these titles, Sufi schools, with their increasingly systematized structure in different times and periods, have formed some prayer journals (leaflets) by showing the necessary meticulousness about dhikr and prayer. One of the works prepared in this context is the DUA book (Daily Readings from the Qurân and Hadiths-Evrâd-ı Şerîfe), which will be introduced and evaluated.
