Pterigomandibular Bölgeye Yer Değiştirmiş Mandibular Üçüncü Molar Dişin Cerrahi Tedavisi: Bir Olgu Raporu

Üçüncü molar dişlerin çekimi diş hekimliğinde en sık uygulanan cerrahi işlemlerden biri olmakla birlikte; hemoraji, enfeksiyon, alveolitis ve iatrojenik yaralanmalar gibi çeşitli komplikasyonlar ile bağlantılı olabilmektedir. Çekim esnasında kök parçalarının veya dişlerin pterigomandibular bölgeye yer değiştirmesi nadir bir durum olsa da; meydana gelmesi halinde parçanın büyüklüğü, lokalizasyonu, görüş alanı, mevcut radyografik ve cerrahi koşullar göz önünde bulundurularak hasta için uygun tedavi seçeneği belirlenmelidir. Bu makalede dış merkezde gerçekleştirilen başarısız bir çekim girişimini takiben pterigomandibular bölgeye yer değiştirdiği saptanan mandibular üçüncü molar dişin tedavisine ilişkin bilgi verilmesi amaçlanmaktadır

Surgical Treatment of Displaced Mandibular Third Molar into the Pterygomandibular Space: A Case Report

Removal of third molars is one of the most common surgical procedures performed in dentistry, however, it may be associated with complications, such as hemorrhage, infection, dry socket and iatrogenic damage. Accidental displacement of fractured roots or teeth into the pterygomandibular space during the extraction process is an uncommon event. However, when it does occur, an appropriate treatment for the patient with regard to fragment size, location, visual access, available radiologic and surgical circumstances must be provided.
