CERRAHİ DESTEKLİ HIZLI MAKSİLLER GENİŞLETME VE KOMPLİKASYONLARI

Transversal maksillomandibular yetersizlik, birçok maloklüzyonun ana sebebidir. Ortodontik kuvvetler preadölesan dönemde maksiller trasnversal yetersizliği düzeltmek için rutin kullanılmaktadır. İskeletsel gelişimini tamamlamış hastalarda ise hızlı maksiller genişletme apareyleri tek başına yeterli olmamakta ve cerrahi olarak osteotomi yapılması gerekmektedir. Kortikotomi destekli hızlı maksiller genişletme ortodontik apareylerin istenmeyen etkilerini azaltmaktadır. Uygulanan cerrahi osteotomi tekniklerinde maksillanın anatomik komşuluklarından dolayı komplikasyonlar ortaya çıkabilmektedir. Bu derlemede maksiller transversal yetersizlikte kullanılan; hızlı maksiller genişletme, kortikotomi destekli hızlı maksiller genişletme, osteotomi teknikleri ve ortaya çıkabilecek komplikasyonlar ele alınmaktadır.
