Relationship Between Forensic Behavioral Genetics and Gut Microbiota

Genetic basis of human behavior is investigated in psychiatry, neurology, biology, forensic science, sociology and many different discip- lines, and results of studies are shared with scientific publications. In recent years, it is founded the correlation between brain and gut micro- biome is more different and complicated than it should be. That differences come from excess of nerve impulses between the intestine and brain. Ano- ther important aspect of the intestine is the effects of the microorganisms it contains on human metabolism, hormones, psychology and behavioral states. Each microorganisms present in human gut microbiota has its own metabo- lism, exchange nutrients and various microbial secretions. These secretions have various properties and are involved in metabolism with other digested nutrients from the intestinal wall. This causes various effects on human physiology, and these effects can also be reflected in the psychological state of a person. From a forensic perspective, it may be thought that the effect of the type and type of microorganism in a person’s microbiome on brain fun- ctions may be reflected in the behavior of the person, and if these behaviors are negative, the person may be prone to crime. In our study, it is discussed impact of the human intestinal flora on the behavior of people that can be involved to crimes as victims or crime per- petrators in terms of forensic science.
