Yedinci servikal vertebranın tranvers çıkıntısı ile eklemleşen servikal kosta, genellikle klinik belirti vermez ve çekilen grafilerde tesadüfen farkedilir. Ancak klinik belirti veren ve bu belirtileri artan vakalarda servikal kosta cerrahi olarak çıkartılır. İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Anabilim Dalında 1975-1984 yılları arasında 5 servikal kosta sendromu vakası cerrahi olarak tedavi edilmiş ve başarılı sonuçlar alınmıştır.

Cervical rib, which articulates with the transverse process of the 7 th cervical vertebra will generally manifest no signs and will be noticed by coincidence in the roentgenograms. Yet, cervical rib is surgically excised in cases which exhibit progressive clinical signs. 5 cases of cervical rib syndrome were surgically treated and successful results obtained in the Department Orthopaedics and Traumatology in the Medical Faculty of the İstanbul University between 1975 and 1984.
