Painless Scrotal Ulcer During All-Trans Retinoic Acid (ATRA) Treatment foran Acute Promyelocitic Leukemia Case

FAB sınıflamasına göre akut miyeloblastik lösemi (AML) M3 olarak adlandırılan akut promiyelositik lösemi (APL), akut miyeloblastik löseminin genellikle hipergranüler lösemik hücreler, kanama eğilimi ve patogenezde önemli rol alan t(15,17) ile karakterize bir alt tipidir. APL 'de altın standart tedavi "all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA)" içeren kombinasyonlardır. ATRA, olası önemli yan etkilerine rağmen iyi tolere edilmektedir. Bu olguda, AML tanısı alan ve ATRA tedavisi sırasında skrotal ülser gelişen 50 yaşında bir erkek hasta bildirilmektedir. Literatürde ATRA ilişkili birkaç skrotal ülser olgusu bulunmakla birlikte araştırmalarımıza göre ağrısız karakterde bildirilen ilk olgudur.

Bir Akut Promiyelositik Lösemi Olgusunda "All-Trans Retinoic Acid (ATRA)" Tedavisi Sırasında Ağrısız Skrotal Ülser

Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), acute myeloblastik leukemia (AML) M3 according to FAB classification is a distinct subtype of AML usuaily characterized by hypergranular leukemic cells, bleeding diathesis and a spesific translocation t(15:17) vvhich plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of APL. The gold Standard therapy in APL is all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) containing combinations. Despite possible significant side effects, ATRA is well tolerated. We report on a 50-year-old man vvith APL who developed scrotal ulcerations during treatment vvith ATRA. Although there are few case reports, to our knovvledge this case is the first one that has painless scrotal ulcerations related vvith ATRA.
