Hakkı Baha Bey edebiyat, felsefe, psikoloji ile ilgilenmiş bir aydındır. 20 civarında eseri ve muhtelif edebî mahfillerde çıkmış ancak kitap hâline dönüştürülmemiş çok sayıda yazısı bulunmaktadır. Musâhabât-ı Edebîyye sohbet havasında edebiyat kavramı, edebiyatın kökeni ve edebîliğin ne olduğu meselesi üstünde durur. Ta’lîm-i Edebiyat sonrasında, Türk edebiyatına taşınan yeni görüş ve yorumlar, Musâhabât-ı Edebîyye’nin izleğidir. Kitapta edebiyat ve psikoloji arasında bağ kurulur. Edebiyat kavramı fikir, his ve hayal cepheleriyle ele alınır. Ruhi uyarılma ile edebiyat arasındaki ilişkinin altını çizen yazar, görüşlerini somut biçimde ve ayrıntılı olarak anlatmaya çalışır. Bu makale, basımından sonra unutulmaya yüz tutmuş bu eseri, günümüz okur ve akademisyenleri ile buluşturma amacını taşır. Tanıtacağımız kitabın şimdiye dek edebiyat araştırmacılarına konu olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Makale, Hakkı Baha Bey’e dair kısa bilgi sunduktan sonra, Musâhabât-ı Edebîyye’nin içeriğine ve onun, edebiyat bilgi ve teorileri bakımından işlevine odaklanır. Eserin Latin alfabesine aktarılması, geçmiş birikimi tespit ve tahlil etmenin yanında, güncel literatürün kazancı olacaktır.

He has around 20 works and many articles that appeared in various literary gatherings but were not turned into books. The concept of literature, the origin of literature, and the issue of what literature is, in the spirit of conversation in Musâhabât-ı Edebîyye.After Ta'lîm-i Edebiyat, new views and interpretations carried to Turkish literature is the path of Musâhâbat-ı Edebîyye. The book establishes a link between literature and psychology. The concept of literature is handled with the aspects of idea, feeling and imagination. Underlining the relationship between spiritual arousal and literature, the author tries to explain his views concretely and in detail.This article aims to bring this work, which has sunk into oblivion after its publication, with today's readers and academics. It has been determined that the book we are going to introduce has not been the subject of literature researchers until now. After presenting brief information about Hakkı Baha Bey, the article focuses on the content of Musâhabât-ı Edebîyye and its function in terms of literary knowledge and theories. Transferring the work to the Latin alphabet will be the gain of the current literature as well as identifying and analyzing the past accumulation.
