REFAH REJİMLERİ SINIFLANDIRMA ÇALIŞMALARI: CİNSİYET BOYUTLARI

Refah devleti yazının büyük bir çoğunluğu öncelikle hane halkı ve bireye odaklanmış ve cinsiyete pek önem vermemişlerdir. Bu ise kadının rolünü görünmez kılmıştır. Refah yazının büyük bir çoğunluğu kadını göz ardı etse de ‘kadın ve refah devleti’ teması birçok çalışma için ilham kaynağı olmuştur. Bu çalışmada ise refah rejimleri cinsiyet açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Hiyerarşik olmayan kümeleme yöntemlerinden k-ortalama tekniği kullanılarak, 26 ülke 11 farklı değişken açısından analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçları, sosyal demokrat refah rejimindeki eşitlik yaklaşımının cinsiyet rollerindeki etkisini ortaya koyarken, muhafazakâr ve liberal rejimlerden ayrıştığını da göstermiştir. Diğer taraftan bu ayrışmanın, Güney Avrupa refah rejimi ve bu modelden biri olarak kabul edilen Türkiye ile çok daha belirgin olduğu ortaya koyulmuştur. Analizden elde edilen diğer önemli sonuç ise Güney Avrupa refah rejimi içerisinde gelişen heterojenleşmedir.
