Disiplinlerarası çalışmalarıyla tanınan Edgar Morin –antropoloji, sosyoloji, felsefe- Fransız filozofu ve sosyologudur. Morin eğitim görüşlerini ele aldığı ‘‘Geleceğin Eğitimi İçin Gerekli Yedi Bilgi’’ başlıklı yapıtında günümüz dünyasında uygulanan eğitimde gördüğü yedi eksik noktayı tartışıyor ve yedi ilke önerisinde bulunuyor. Ona göre yedi ilke şöyledir: ‘‘1. Bilmenin körlükleri: Hata ve Yanılsama 2. Akla Uygun Bir Bilginin İlkeleri 3. İnsanlık Durumunu Öğretmek 4. Dünyalı Kimliği Öğretmek 5. Belirsizlikleri Göğüslemek 6. Anlamayı Öğretmek 7. İnsan Türünün Etiği’’. Bu çalışmada Edgar Morin’in geleceğin eğitimi için gerekli gördüğü yedi bilgi ele alınacak ve uygulanabilirliği üzerine tartışılacaktır

Edgar Morin, who is known with his interdisciplinary studies in the fields of anthropology, sociology, and philosophy, is a French philosopher and sociologist. Morin who is handle his views of education in his study ‘‘Les sept savoirs nécessaires à l’éducation du futur’’ (Seven Complex Lessons in Education for the Future) is discussing the missing points of education in today’s world and proposing seven principles. His proposed principles are: ‘‘1. Les cecites de la connaissance: l’erreur et l’illusion (Detecting error and illusion) 2. Les principes d’une connaissance pertinente (Principles of pertinent knowledge) 3. Enseigner la condition humaine (Teaching the human condition) 4. Enseigner l’identité terrienne (Earth identity) 5. Affronter les incertitudes (Confronting uncertainties) 6. Enseigner la compréhension (Understanding each other) 7. L’éthique du genre humain (Ethics for the human genre)’’. In the present study, the knowledge Edgar Morin considers necessary for the education of the future will be explored and the applicability of this knowledge will be discussed
