Okumayı öğrenmek ve bunu alışkanlık hâline getirerek yaşam boyu devam ettirmek eğitimin en temel hedeflerindendir. Bu araştırmada, okumayı seven öğrencilerin okuma alışkanlığı konusundaki görüşlerine başvurularak bu sevgiyi nasıl kazandıkları, buna etki eden unsurlar, aile bireyleri ve arkadaşlarıyla ilişkileri ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Bunun için öncelikle Dumlupınar Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 125 öğrenciye okuyucu anketi uygulanmış ve okumayı seven 9 öğrenci belirlenmiştir. Bu öğrencilerle okuma sevgisi üze¬rine mülakat yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda, öğrencilerin görüşleri ışığında okuma sevgisi üzerine yorumlar yapılmıştır.

Learning to read and sustaining it as a lifelong habit are among the main objectives of edu¬cation. This study aims to determine how students have acquired this habit, the factors af¬fecting this acquisition and their relations with their family members and friends throughh their opinions about the reading habit. For this purpose, a reader questionnaire was carried out on 125 students at Dumlupinar University and thus 9 students who love reading were determined. Then, interviews were conducted with these students on reading pleasure on the strength of students ’ opinions.
