“Dünyanın En Dinamik ve En Rekabetçi Bilgi Ekonomisi” Olmak ya da Olamamak: Avrupa Birliği Lizbon Stratejisi ve Eğitim Boyutu

Öz This article analyzes the goals and policies set in the field of education during the process of Lisbon Strategy 2000-2008 within the European Union as well as the results of the implementation of these policies. Education was defined as one of the most important fields that will play an extensive role in the realization of Lisbon Strategy, which seeks to make the EU "the most dynamic and competitive knowledge-based economy in the world"; furthermore, the goals that the members states need to attain in this field by 2010 were set. It appears that while some progress has been made in the field of education in regards to the Lisbon Strategy, the improvements have not sufficed to achieve the preset goals to the fullest.
