Kripto Paraların Enerji Tüketimi Yoluyla Neden Oldukları Çevresel Sorunlara Çözüm Önerileri-Pigoviyan Vergi

Bilişim teknolojisinin gelişmesiyle birlikte ortaya çıkan kripto paralar, belli bir merkezi otoriteyebağlı olmayıp kriptografik sistemler ile güvenliği sağlanan dijital para birimleridir. Kripto paralar,yüksek getiri oranı, işlem maliyetlerinin yok denecek kadar az olması ve kolay transferleri nedeniyle dünya çapında cazip yatırım araçları haline gelmiştir. En çok bilineni Bitcoin olmakla birlikte,çok çeşitli kripto para birimleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Ancak bu para birimi faaliyetlerinin, enerji yoğunkullanımının çevresel etkileri bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, kripto paraların üretimi sırasında tükettiği yüksek enerjinin ortaya çıkardığı olumsuz çevresel etkiler ve bu olumsuz etkileri azaltmayayönelik çözüm önerileri vurgulanmaktadır.

Solution Proposals for Environmental Problems Caused By Energy Consumption of Cryptocurrency-Pigoviyan Tax

Cryptocurrencies, which emerged with the development of information technology, are digital currencies that are secured by cryptographic systems, not dependent on a specific central author ity. Cryptocurrencies have become attractive investment tools around the world due to their high rate of return, negligible transaction costs, and easy transfers. Although Bitcoin is the most well known, a wide variety of cryptocurrency have emerged. However, the energy intensive use of these currency activities has environmental implications. In this study, the negative environmental effectscaused by the high energy consumed during the production of crypto coins and solutions to reduce these negative effects are emphasized
