Investigation of Acoustic Properties of Fibrous Materials Used in Automotive
Acoustic comfort factors play an important role in automobile preferences of today’s customer. The main automotive manufacturers also have a basic desire. They prefer products with strong insulation ability but low cost. For this reason, insulator designers and manufacturers must be in continuous development. As a result of the widespread use of electric vehicles, expectations for acoustic comfort have been increased. Purpose of this study, to obtain sound transmission loss and sound absorption coefficient of insulation materials used in vehicles. These insulating materials will be selected in different contents, weights and thicknesses. Relation between weight, sound transmission loss, sound absorption coefficient will be investigated. In this way, this study will be a main information source for acoustic studies in the automotive sector.
