Bu araştırma 1994-1996 yıllan arasında Kastomonu ve Sinop illerinde toplanan 12 Syrphidae örneğine dayanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada 4 tür tesbit edilmiş olup, bunlar Dasysyrphus albostriatus (Fallen, 1817), Dasysyrphus tricintus (Fallen, 1817), Xanthadrus comtus (Harris, [1780]) ve Platyheirus scutatus (Meigen, 1822) Türkiye Syrphidae faunası için ilk kayıttır.

This study iş based on 12 Syrphid specimens collected from Kastomonu and Sinop provinces between the years 1994 and 1996. In this study, 4 species were determined. These species Dasysyrphus albostriatus (Fallen, 1817), Dasysyrphus tricinctus (Fallen, 1817), Xanthandrus comtus (Harris, [1780]) and Platycheirus scutatus (Meigen, 1822) are the first records for Turkish Syrphidae fauna.
