In six neonates with a history of birth trauma and asphyxia the diagnosis of adrenal hemorrhage was made by the use of clinical findings ultrasonography USG and computerized tomography CT All patients received supportive medical care Four cases recovered and were discharged On the 9th month of the follow up of case 4 USG showed adrenal calcifacation Our clinical observations show that all neonates with a history of birth trauma and asphyxia should be evaluated for possible adrenal hemorrhages and that USG as a non invasive and simple diagnostic method can be used in the early diagnosis and follow up of such cases Key words: Adrenal Hemorrhage Newborn Asphyxia Ultrasonography
