An essential overview on the public health system and child healthcare in Spain

The child healthcare system in Spain is coordinated and managed at a central level by the Ministry of Health and at a local level by 17 regional health authorities. The Ministry of Health has executive power for the implementation of state health policies and controls and manages stateowned health facilities.
