Aleksandreia Troas Antik Kenti 2013 Yılı Kazı Çalışmaları Sırasında Bulunan Kandiller

Günümüzde kazısı devam eden antik yerleşimlerin neredeyse tamamında karşımıza çıkan, kandiller, önemli bir seramik eser buluntu grubudur. Bu grup, zaman içerisinde farklı formlarda üretilmiş olsa da, Prehistorik çağlardan mum kullanımının yaygınlaştığı sürece kadar hemen her alanda aydınlatma aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Tipolojik ve kronolojik açılardan yoğun bir biçimde değerlendirilmiş olan bu eserler, tarihleme açısından son derece önemlidirler. Çanakkale ili, Ezine ilçesinde bulunan Aleksandreia Troas antik kentinde, 2013 kazı sezonunda yürütülen çalışmalarda da, iki farklı buluntu alanında (HS ve AS), Hellenistik ve Roma dönemlerine ait olan kandil ve kandil parçalarıyla karşılaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, buluntu alanları dikkate alınarak irdelenen 23 adet eser, tipolojik sınıflandırma için yeterli veri sunmadıklarından, daha çok kronolojik gelişime göre değerlendirilmiştir.

The Lamps Found the Excavations of Aleksandria Troas in 2013

Today, oil lamps, which appear in almost all excavations of ancient settlements, are an important part of ceramic artifacts. Although this group was produced in different forms in the past, since the Prehistoric age when wax was in widespread use, they have been used as lighting equipment in almost all areas. Aspects of these artifacts, which have been assessed in serious typological and chronological terms, are extremely important for dating. In the 2013 field season, studies conducted in the Çanakkale province, in the Ezine district of the ancient city of Alexandreia Troas, in two different areas (HS and AS) of lamps) and lamp parts belonging to the Hellenistic and Roman periods were discovered. Taking the area of discovery into account, the analysis of the 23 artifacts in this study proved to be insufficient for typological classification. Rather it was evaluated according to its chronological development.
