Phylogeny of Thlaspiceras sensu Meyer Species Complex based on Plastidic trnQ-5’rps16 Region
Noccaea Moench is one of the most problematic genera among family Brassicaceae and discussions about its generic circumscription is still ongoing. In this study, 7 species and 21 populations belonging to Thlaspiceras species complex, which considered as a separate genus by some authors, were evaluated first time by using plastidic trnQ-5'rps16 region. This genetic marker grouped species/populations concordantly their geographical range rather than systematic relationships in both phylogenetic and haplotype analyses. The main reason for this, morphologically differentiated sympatric species share same haplotypes as in examples N. bovis and N. eigii. Thus, both haplotype and nucleotide diversity are relatively low in terms of genetic marker studied.
