Mersin Bölgesinde yetiştiriciliği yapılan bazı akvaryum balıkları (Poecilidae)'nda rastlanılan protozoan ektoparazitler

Bu çalışmada, Mersin bölgesinde yetiştiriciliği yapılan bazı akvaryum balıklan (Poecilia reticulata, Poecilia latipinna, Xiphophorus helleri, Xiphophorus maculatusynda deri, yüzgeç ve solungaç dokularında yaşayan protozoan ektoparazitler ve mevsimsel dağılımlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada Ocak 2001 - Ocak 2002 tarihleri arasında 950 adet balık incelenmiş olup, bunlardan 720 adet balığın protozoan parazitlerce enfeste olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca parazitlerin morfolojik özellikleri ve balıklarda oluşturdukları semptomlar incelenmiştir. Bu araştırma sonucunda Oodinium pillularis Schperclaus, 1954 (Protozoa: Dinoflagellidae: Oodinium), Ichtyopthirius multifilis Fouquet, 1876 (Protozoa: Holophridae: Ichtyophthrius), Ichtyobodo necator Henneguy, 1884 (Protozoa: Bodonidae: Costia) Trichodina sp. Ehrenberg, 1838 (Protoazoa: Urceolariidae: Trichodina), olmak üzere toplam 4 tür parazit görüldü. Bunlar içerisinde en çok rastlananı Trichodina sp en az rastlananı Ichtyobodo necator'dw. Aylara göre ektoparazitlerin dağılımında Mayıs-Haziran-Temmuz aylarında sayılarında artış, Ekim-Kasım-Aralık aylarında ise azaldığı belirlenmiştir.

Protozoan ektoparasites occuring in some of the aquarium fishes (Poecilidae) raised in Mersin District. This study aimed to demonstrate the types and seasonal freguency of occurance of the protozoan ectoparasites living on the skin, gill, and fin tissues of some aquarium fishes (Poecilia reticulata, Poecilia latipinna, Xiphophorus helleri, Xiphophorus maculatus) raised in Mersin district. During the investigation ; a total of 950 fishes were investigated and 720 of which was found to be infested by the protozoan ecto-parasites. Morfolojical characters of the ecto-parasites and their symptoms in fish were also investigated.Four species of ecto-parasites Oodinium pittularis Schperclaus, 1954 (Protozoa: Dinoflagellidae: Oodinium), Ichtyopthirius multifilis Fouquet, 1876 (Protozoa: Holophridae: Ichtyophthrius), Ichtyobodo necator Henneguy, 1884 (Protozoa: Bodonidae: Ichtyobodo) Trichodina sp. Ehrenberg, 1838 (Protoazoa: Urceolariidae: Trichodina) were identified. The highent freguency of occurrance was belong to Trichodina sp. whereas the lowest was Ichtyobodo necator. The freguency of occurance of the ecto-parasites seemed to increase during the months May-June-July whilst there was a decrease in the frequency of occurrance - in October-Novenber and December.
