Çakalburnu Dalyanı' ndan toplanan akivadeslerin (Tapes decussatus L, 1758) mevsimsel olarak gonad gelişimi

İzmir-Çakalburnu Dalyanı'ndan toplanan akivadeslerin (Tapes decussatus L. 1758) gonad gelişimleri Ocak ve Ekim 2001 tarihleri arasında mevsimsel örneklemelerle histolojik olarak incelenmiştir. Gonad gelişiminde beş safha tanımlanmıştır. Ocak ayında Safha 0 (dinlenme) ve Safha I gözlemlenmiş ve bireylerin büyük çoğunluğunun (%70) Safha I (ilk gametogenesis)'de olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Nisan ayında gonadlar Safha II (olgunlaşmaya başlama)(%75)'ye doğru ilerlemiştir. Haziran ayında %60'ının Safha III (olgun)'de, %40'ının Safha IV (kısmen döl bırakımı) olduğu saptanmıştır. Ekim ayında ise bireylerin Safha IV (kısmen döl bırakımı) ve Safha V (döl bırakımı)'de sırasıyla %40 ve %60 oranlarında olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre akivadesler Haziran ile Ekim ayları arasında döl bırakmaktadırlar. Diğer taraftan Haziran ayı örneklerinde %4.65 oranında hermafroditlik saptanmış ve dişi/erkek oranı çalışma süresince 1.11 olarak bulunmuştur.

Seasonal variations ofgonadal development of carpet shell clam (Tapes decussatus' L, 1758) collected from Çakalburnu Lagoon. Seasonal gonadal changes were observed histologically in samples of carpet shell clams (Tapes decussatus L, 1758) collected from Çakalbumu Lagoon of Izmir Bay between January and October 2001. Five stages of gonadal development were identified. In January, StageO (inactive) and Stage I were observed, with the majority (70%) of the animals in the Stage I (early active stage). Gonadal development increased to Stage II (late active stages) (75%) in April. Stage III (ripe) and Stage IV (Partially spent stages) were determined 60%and 40%respectively in June. In October clams were stage IV (Partially spent stages) and Stage V (spent), 40%and 60%. Results of this study indicate that clams spawned between June and October.. On the other hand, hermaphroditism was determined 4.65 %in June samples and female/male sex ratio was 1.11 during study.
