Okulda özel günler akut astım atağını tetikleyebilir mi?

Astım tüm dünyada çocuklarda en sık görülen kronik hastalıklardan biridir. Çocuk ve adolesanlar astım tetikleyicileri ile okulda da karşılaşabilmektedir. Okullarda kapalı çevre, kalabalık ortam, hava kirliliği ve alerjen maruziyeti gibi çeşitli faktörler astım ataklarını tetikleyebilmektedir. Burada öğretmenler gününde aynı okuldan astım atak ile bölümümüze başvuran dört lise öğrencisi sunulmuştur. Öğrencilerin dördü kız olup üçü orta ve biri ağır atakta idi. Öğretmenler günü kutlaması sırasında havanın yağmurlu olması nedeniyle 400 öğrenci 100 rrf'lik alanda toplanmış, toplantının 20. dakikasında astım tanısı ile izlenmekte olan dört öğrencide öksürük ve nefes darlığı yakınması başlamıştır. Okullarda astımlı çocuklar açısından uygun koşulların sağlanması ve okul personelinin astım konusunda eğitilmesi gerektiğini vurguluyoruz.

Does celebration of teacher's days trigger asthma attacks in school?

Asthma is one of the most common chronic diseases in children all over the world. Children and adolescents may also exposure to asthma triggers in schools. Asthma attacks can be triggered by various factors at school. Indoor environment in schools, crowded environment, various factors such as air pollution and allerjen exposure can trigger asthma attacks. Here, four high school students who apply to our section on teachers day due to asthma attack have been presented. All four students were girls and three of the four girls were in the middle and the other one was in severe attack. Due to the rainy weather during the teachers day celebration ceremony, 400 students had gathered in an area of 100 m2. Four of these students who were folio-wing by diagnosis of asthma had started complaining of cough and shortness of breath at twentieth minutes of the meeting. We emphasized that appropriate conditions should be provided for asthmatic children in schools and school personnel should be trained for the asthma attacks.
