Yirmi İki Yıllık Travmatik Horizontal Kök Kırığı Tedavisinde Multidisipliner Yaklaşım: On Sekiz Aylık Olgu Takibi

A Multidisciplinary Approach in the Treatment of Twenty-two Years of Traumatic Horizontal Root Fracture: Eighteen Months Case Follow-up

Dental traumas accounts for 5% of all injuries that require treatment in humans. Among dental traumas, root fractures are injuries that may involve pulp, dentin and cementum tissues. Horizontal root fractures are frequently seen in the upper jaw anterior region and generally closed apex teeth are affected. 75% of these constitute central incisors. Traumatic injuries have a complex structure and their treatment may require a multidisciplinary approach. In this case report, it was learned that a 44-year-old male patient had a trauma in his teeth but received no treatment 22 years ago during his training at the police academy. After 22 years, the patient who applied to our clinic with a complaint of excessive mobility had an multidisciplinary treatment with his own crown and has been followed up for 1.5 years.
