3 Farklı Dentin Hassasiyeti Giderici Diş Macununun Sitotoksisitesinin Değerlendirilmesi

Amaç: Hassasiyet giderici diş macunları uygulama süreleri boyunca dişler ve oral dokularla sürekli temas halindedirler. Macunların içindeki ajanlar ideal olarak oral dokulara zarar vermemeli, dokuların iyileşmelerine yardımcı olmalıdırlar. Bu çalışmanın amacı, dentin hassasiyeti gidermek için sıklıkla kullanılan üç farklı diş macunun L929 fare fibroblast hücrelerinin canlılıkları üzerine etkilerini değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Test edilen macunların orijinal ekstraktı Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) kültür ortamı ile seyreltilerek üç farklı konsantrasyonu hazılandı. L929 fare fibroblastı hücreleri macunların %25, %12, %6’lık üç farklıkonsantrasyonuna maruz bırakıldı (n=12). Hücre canlılığı MTT testi ile değerlendirildi. Kontrol grubunun hücre canlılığı %100’e eşitlendi, veriler istatistiksel olarak one-way ANOVA ve post-hocTukey’s HSD testleriyle değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Test edilen macunların %25, %12, %6’lık üç farklı konsantrasyonun da kontrol grubuyla karşılaştırıldığında L929 hücreleri üzerine sitotoksik etkileri olduğu gözlenmiştir (p

Cytototoxic Evaluation of Three Different Dentin Desensitizing Toothpastes

Background: Dentin desensitizing toothpastes are in constant contact with the teeth and oral tissues during their application time. Ideally, the agents in the toothpastes should not damage the oral tissues and help the healing of them. The aim of the study is to evaluate the effects of three different common used dentin desensitizing toothpasteson the viability of L929 mouse fibroblast cells. Methods: Three different concentrations were prepared with the original extract of the tested toothpastes was diluted with Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium. L929 were exposed to three different concentrations of the 25%, 12%, 6% toothpastes (n=12). Cell viability was evaluated with XTT assay. The mean values of control groups were set to represent 100% viability. Data were statistically evaluated with one-way ANOVA and post-hocTukey's HSD tests. Results: It was observed that the three different concentrations of 25%, 12%, 6% of the tested toothpastes had cytotoxic effects on L929 cells compared to the control group (p
