Emotional labor behavior and assertiveness level have great importance to establish an effective communication and professionalism to solve these problems. AIm: Research was planned descriptive and correlational design in order to determine the relationship between assertiveness level and emotional labor behavior of nursing students.mEthoDS: In the study, without using any sample selection methods, all the students who were enrolled in the nursing faculty at a public university and willing to participate in the study were included (921 students). The personal information form consisting of ten questions to determine the students' personal characteristics in addition to "Emotional Labor Behavior Scale" and "Rathus Assertiveness Inventory"(RAI) have been used for data collection tools . Data were evaluated by using percentage, averages, and Pearson correlation analysis.RESultS: The mean (± SD) Rathus Assertiveness Inventory score of the nursing students was found 9.49±18.33 points which show that students are timid. Also the mean (± SD) Emotional Labor Behavior Scale score was found 3.75±0.78 points.
