MULTIPL SKLEROZLU BİR HASTADA ANESTEZİ UYGULAMASI
Dört yıllık multıpl skleroz(MS) tanısı olan 50 yaşında bayan hasta histerektomi operasyonu öncesi anestezi açısından değerlendirildi. MS kronik inflamasyon, demyelinizasyon ve sklerozisle karakterize kronik ve strese bağlı ataklar geliştirebilen bir hastalıktır. Remisyonda olan hastaya epidural kateter takılıp propofol ve remifentanil ile intravenöz genel anestezi uygulandı; uygulanan epidural ve intravenöz genel anestezi yöntemiyle komplikasyonsuz ve hastalığına bağlı yeni bir atak gelişmediği gözlendi
Anesthetic Management for a Patient with Multiple Sclerosis
A 50-year-old woman with multiple sclerosis(MS) underwent hysterectomy. MS is characterized by chronic inflammation, demyelination, and gliosis in the central nervous system. Stress such as surgery, anesthesia, emotional distress and variable body temperature can exacerbate the disease. In this case, anesthesia was induced and maintained with propofol and remifentanil and bupivacaine was given intraoperatively and postoperatively from an epidural catheter. With this (epidural and IV general anesthesia)method, patient was discharged without complications and no new signs of disease were observed over the following days
