Hastane bilgi ve yönetim sisteminin implant uygulamalarına ait verilerin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla incelenmesi

Bu çalışmanın amacı Erciyes Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi’nde uygulanan implantasyon işlemlerini endikasyon, implant boy/çap, implant-üstü restorasyon tipi, implantasyon öncesi periodontal değerlendirme ve implant kaybı açısından Hastane Bilgi ve Yönetim isteminde (HBYS) yer alan verileri dikkate alarak değerlendirmek ve aynı zamanda mevcut sistemin eksiklerini belirlemekti. Çalışmamızın materyalini Haziran 2007-Şubat 2012 tarihleri arasında Erciyes Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Ağız, Diş ve Çene Cerrahisi (ADÇC) ve Periodontoloji Klinikleri’ne implant tedavisi için başvurmuş 1634 hasta oluşturmuştur. Veriler HBYS’de yer alan bilgilerin değerlendirilmesi yoluyla elde edilmiştir. İncelememizin sonuçları 865’i kadın ve 769’u erkek olmak üzere 1634 hastaya toplam 4555 implantın uygulandığını ortaya koymuştur. İmplant uygulanan hastaların yaklaşık yarısının (% 49), bunların da çoğunluğunun dişsizlik durumu bilinmemekle birlikte, periodontal tedavi görmediği ve her iki klinik için de benzer oranlarda dağılım gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Mevcut veriler değerlendirildiğinde, gerek Periodontoloji gerekse de ADÇC Klinikleri’nde Haziran 2007-Şubat 2012 tarihleri arasında yapılan implantasyon işlemlerinin giderek artan bir ivme kazandığı ve implant-üstü restorasyonların çoğunun da sabit protezler olduğu görülmüştür.Elde edilen veriler ışığında, otomasyon sistemine hastanın dişsizlik durumu, peri-implantitis tedavisi, kaybedilen implant sayısı/ lokalizasyonu ve benzeri eksik parametrelerin ilave edilmesi, daha geniş popülasyonlarda ileride yapılması planlanan retrospektif değerlendirmelerin sağlıklı bir şekilde gerçekleştirilmesine olanak tanıyacaktır.

The investigation of the hospital information and management system (HIMS) for the evaluation of the data of implantation procedures

The aim of this study was to evaluate the implantation procedures performed at Erciyes University, Faculty of Dentistry, with regard to implant indication, implant length and diameter, type of implant- supported restoration, periodontal examination prior to implant surgery, implant loss taking into consideration the current Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) data and also to determine the inadequacies of the current automation system.The material of our study consisted of a total of 1634 patients (865 females; 769 males) who presented to the clinic of Periodontology and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) at Erciyes University, Faculty of Dentistry for implant treatment. The data were obtained by the evaluation of the information in the HIMS.Results of our investigation showed that 4555 implants were inserted in a total of 1634 patients (865 females; 769 males). Almost half of the implant-treated patients (49 %), despite the lack of knowledge in terms of edentulism, did not receive any periodontal treatment and the distribution of these patients in both clinics were similar. Current data revealed that an increasing trend toward implantation procedures occurred over a period from June 2007 to February 2012 in both Periodontology and (OMFS) clinics and implant supported restorations were mostly in the form of fixed prosthesis.In the light of the data obtained, It is clear that, the inclusion of the missing information (state of edentulism, treatment of peri- implant disease, number and localization of implant loss etc.) into the HIMS will enable the clinicians to perform a more reliable retrospective investigation in larger populations in the future.
