1983 -1984 ders yılı içinde, İstanbul Üniversitesi Florence Nightingale Yüksek Hemşirelik Okulu 1. sınıf öğrencilerinden 65 kişilik bir denek grubuna Spielberger'in Durumluk-Sürekli Anksiyete Envanteri (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory) uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, tüm deneklerin durumluk-anksiyete puanları sınav sonrasında anlamlı düzeyde bir düşüş göstermiştir. Sürekli anksiyete puanlarında ise sınav öncesi ve sınav sonrası anlamlı bir farklılık görülmemiştir. Problemsiz grubun sınav Öncesi ve smav sonrası durumluk-anksiyete puan farkları, problemli grubun bu iki dönemdeki puan farklarına oranla daha anlamlı bulunmuştur. Durumluk-Sürekli Anksiyete Envanteri'nin bütünlüğü içinde, durumluk-anksiyete ölçeği, testi aldıkları dönemde özel sorunları olduğunu ifade eden denekler ve sorunsuz olup sadece sınavla ilgili anksiyete duyanlar için farklı değerler taşıyor görünmektedir. 

65 students of the Florence Nightingale Advenced Nursing School took the Spielberger's State Trait Anxiety Inventory twice during the school period of 1983-84. The results indicated that after the exam period there has been, a significant decrease in the stateanxiety scores where comparable before and after the exams. Additional self reports given by the students, showed that those who did '•not report personal problems when compared with the group with personal problems, showed significant differences before and after exam state anxiety scores. Within the integration of the StateTrait Anxiety Inventory State-Anxiety scale seems to have different judgement values for those who already have problems while having the test and for those who show only test anxiety alone.
