Zenginleştirilmiş koagülasyon prosesiyle içme sularından doğal organik madde giderimi

Doğal organik madde (DOM), dezenfeksiyon yan ürünlerinin (DYÜ) oluşumunda öncü bir bileşik olduğundan içme suyu arıtımında doğal organik maddenin giderimi önemli bir husustur. DYÜ’ler, insan sağlığı üzerindeki potansiyel kanserojen etkileri sebebiyle bir endişe kaynağıdır. Bu sebeple DOM’un, içme suyu arıtımında dezenfeksiyon prosesinden önce uzaklaştırılması gerekmektedir. Ülkemizde içme suyu arıtımında kullanılan konvansiyonel metot, koagülasyon, flokülasyon, çökeltim/flotasyon ardından kum filtrasyonudur. Ancak konvansiyonel koagülasyon metotları, bulanıklık giderimine odaklandığı için, etkili bir DOM giderimi sağlayamaz. Bu nedenle DOM gideriminde, işletme şartlarının optimize edildiği (koagülant dozu ve pH gibi) zenginleştirilmiş koagülasyon prosesi etkin olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, zenginleştirilmiş koagülasyonla içme suyu kaynaklarından DOM giderimi üzerine yapılan araştırma çalışmalarının bir incelemesi sunulmuştur. Koagülasyon prosesinde kullanılan çeşitli koagülant maddeler incelenmiş ve koagülasyonu geliştiren pH, koagülant dozu, DOM kaynağı gibi faktörlere değinilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra, zenginleştirilmiş koagülasyonla membran filtrasyonu, iyon değişimi ve aktif karbon adsorpsiyonunu birleştiren entegre proseslere yer verilmiş, entegre proseslerin DOM giderimi üzerindeki etkinliklerine değinilmiştir.
