Mathematical modeling and dynamic decoupling of a multivariable process with a CST
In this paper, mathematical modeling and dynamic decoupler designof a temperature and flow rate process with a continuously stirredtank (CST) is presented. A dynamic mathematical model of the processthat consists of two nonlinear differential equations is developed. Themultivariable (MV) system model is linearized to make the eliminationof loop interaction easier through dynamic decoupling and expressedin terms of system transfer functions. Dynamic decoupling is designedusing obtained linearized model and it is shown that loop interactionsare eliminated making the process suitable for decomposed single loopfeedback controllers.
