HELAL KONSEPTLİ KRUVAZİYER TURİZMİ: ASYA PASİFİK’İN İLK HELAL DOSTU YOLCU GEMİSİ

Helal turizm, Müslüman turistlerin inançlarına uygun olan ürün ve hizmetlere ulaşabildiği alternatif bir turizm modelidir. Helal turizm yeni bir turizm çeşidi değil, tüm turistik faaliyetlere uygulanabilecek bir bakış açısıdır. Helal turizm kavramına konaklama ve yiyecek-içecek sektöründe daha sık rastlanmaktadır. Kruvaziyer turizm alanında helal konseptli hizmet veren işletme sayısı yok denecek kadar azdır. Bu çalışmada Asya Pasifik bölgesinde faaliyet gösteren ilk helal dostu yolcu gemisi hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda gemide sunulmakta olan helal konseptli ürün ve hizmetler gruplar halinde sunulmuştur. Ayrıca bu çalışmada, dünyanın sayılı helal değerlendirme kuruluşlarından Crescent Rating’in bu geminin sunduğu ürün ve hizmetlere ilişkin puanlamalarına da yer verilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, yeni bir turizm konsepti olan helal turizmin kruvaziyer gemilerinde nasıl uygulandığını ve değerlendirildiğini bir örnek olay üzerinden açıklamaktır. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma tekniklerinden biri olan doküman incelemesi yapılmıştır. Araştırmada örneklem olarak Asya Pasifik bölgesinin ilk helal dostu kruvaziyer gemisi seçilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda helal konseptli bu gemide altı farklı kategoride hizmet sunulduğu tespit edilmiştir.

HALAL CONCEPT CRUISE TOURISM: ASIA PACIFIC'S FIRST HALAL-FRIENDLY CRUISE SHIP

Halal tourism is an alternative tourism model where Muslim tourists can access products and services that are suitable for their beliefs. Halal tourism is not a new type of tourism; it is a perspective that can be applied to all touristic activities. The concept of halal tourism is more common in the accommodation and food and beverage sector. In the field of cruise tourism, there are very few businesses that provide halal concept services. In this study, information is given about the first halal-friendly cruise ship in Asia Pacific. In this direction, halal concept products and services offered on board are presented in groups. In addition, in this study, the ratings of Crescent Rating, one of the world's leading halal assessment institutions, regarding the products and services offered on this ship are also included. The main purpose of this study is to explain the application and evaluation process of halal tourism, which is a new concept of tourism, on cruise ships through a case study. In this study, document analysis, which is one of the qualitative research techniques, was conducted. The first halal-friendly cruise ship of the Asia Pacific region was chosen as the sample in the study. As a result of the research, it has been determined that this halal concept ship offers services in six different categories.
