Meslek Yüksekokulları gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde işletmelerin vasıflı ara eleman ihtiyacını karşılamada büyük önem arz etmektedir. Muhasebe ve vergi bölümleri de bu amaca önemli ölçüde meslek elemanı yetiştirerek hizmet etmiştir. Çalışmamızın amacı meslek yüksekokullarındaki muhasebe ve vergi bölümü öğrencilerinin bu program ile ilgili düşünce ve beklentilerinin saptanmasıdır. Bu amaçla, 2010-2011 Bahar yarıyılında eğitimine devam eden 560 öğrenci üzerinde yapılan anket çalışmasının neticesinde muhasebe ve vergi bölümü öğrencileri aldıkları teorik eğitimin ve bu teorik eğitimi destekleyecek uygulama eğitimlerinin yetersiz olduğunu, fiziki ve teknolojik olanaklara yeterince sahip olmadıklarını belirtmiştir. Ayrıca, 2008 yılında 3568 sayılı kanunda yapılan değişiklikle serbest muhasebeci unvanının kaldırılması bu programlarda okuyan öğrencilerin meslek elemanı olma olanaklarını ellerinden aldığı için programın geleceğine bakışlarının olumsuz olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Vocational High Schools play an important role for supplying the qualified intermediate member in developed and developing countries. The department of accounting and tax applications serves the same purpose. The aim of this study to determine the thoughts and expectations of students in the accounting and tax applications departments which are relevant their departments. For this reason, a questionnaire applied to the 560 students which are still continuing one’s education in 2010-2011 spring semesters. In the consequence of this questionnaire study the students had indicate and, they couldn’t get physical and technological facilities enough. Also, it has been confirmed the students have a pessimistic (poor) view to the future of program because the modification made in the law no. 3658 removed the job title of public accountant and taking away the opportunity to be member of profession from students which are still studying in this departments.
