SONUÇ: Koroner arter hastalarına önerilen düşük seviyeli aerobik egzersizin fibrinojen seviyesinde anlamlı değişme yapmadığı kanısına varıldı. AIM: It is known that an elevated plasma level of fibrinogen causes acute coronary syndrome in patient with coronary artery disease (CAD). The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of exercise on fibrinogen level in CAD. MATERIAL AND METHOD: 16 men and 5 women in with CAD were assigned to the exercise group (group I, mean age: 54 ± 13), 14 men and 6 women in patients history of with CAD who couldn't exercise were assigned to the control group (group II, mean age: 55 ± 12). CAD is defined with previous myocardial infarction, coronary revascularization or stenosis of a major coronary artery, greaten than 50% on coronary angiography. Group I patients were on low level aerobic exercise 30 minutes per day and 4 day a week. Group II consisted of patients who couldn't exercise owing to physical disability, osteoarthritis or incompability to exercise. RESULTS: All patient's electrocardiographies were recorded, body mass indexes (BMI) were calculated and fibrinogen levels were established, at initial, 3rd and 6th month. "Repeated Measure Test" was used for statistical analysis. In group I, fibrinogen levels were 333±98 mg/dl (initial), 327±83 mg/dl (3rd month), 314±80 mg/dl (6th month), respectively. Reduction of fibrinogen levels were not significant (p>0.05). In group II, fibrinogen levels were 321±106 mg/dl (initial), 330±62 mg/dl (3rd month) ve 370±156 mg/dl (6th month). Increase in fibrinogen levels alsı were not significant (p>0.05) . CONCLUSION: We concluded that low level aerobic exercise does not significantly affect fibrinogen level in patients with CAD."> [PDF] Koroner arter hastalığında egzersiz fibrinojeni düşürmede etkili midir? | [PDF] Is exercise effective in lowening of fibrinogen in patient with coronary artery disease? 0.05).
