Conservation of plants ex situ is one of the most important ways of conservation of biodiversity among what are accessible to botanical gardens. The special place in the International program of botanical gardens on protection of plants is allocated to the section, devoted to practice and priorities of botanical gardens on protection of plants, and in particular rational use of biodiversity. In given clause we just also wish to discuss, what contribution can bring Botanical garden NAS KR in rational use of own collections of plants. In our opinion, the basic attention should be given plants which can be used in the following purposes: wood, fuel and fire wood, ornamental plants, the foodstuffs fruit , beekeeping, medicines, preservation of the environment
