COVİD-19 HASTALARINDA BİLGİSAYARLI TOMOGRAFİ TUTULUM SKORUNUN KLİNİK VE LABORATUVAR BULGULARLA İLİŞKİSİ

Giriş: Koronavirüs hastalığı-2019 (COVID-19)’un toraks bilgisayarlı tomografi (BT) bulgularının şiddetini belirlemek ve standardize etmek için farklı BT skorlama sistemleri geliştirilmiştir. Çalışmamızda BT ile saptanan COVID-19 pnömonisinin şiddeti ile hastaların klinik ve laboratuvar özellikleri arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmayı amaçladık. Gereç ve Yöntem: COVID-19 enfeksiyonu nedeniyle yatarak veya ayakta tedavi edilen hastaların verileri geriye dönük olarak değerlendirildi. Hastalar hafif, orta ve şiddetli BT skoru olan hastalar olarak 3 gruba ayrılarak analiz edildi. Bulgular: 53 hasta yatarak, 84 hasta ayakta tedavi edildi. 137 hastanın 82'si hafif, 31'i orta ve 24'ü ağır BT skoruna sahipti. Medyan takip süresi 9 gündü. Grupların yaş, nabız, oksijen satürasyon değerleri, AST, ferritin, CRP ve D-dimer değerleri arasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlıydı. Sonuç: Uygulanması basit BT skorlama sistemleri COVID-19 enfeksiyonunun klinik seyri ile koreledir ve klinik uygulamada kullanılabilir.

CORRELATION OF COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHY SEVERITY SCORE IN COVID-19 PATIENTS WITH CLINICAL AND LABORATORY RESULTS

Introduction: Different computed tomography CT scoring systems have been developed to determine the severity of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) thoracic CT findings and standardize them. In our study, we aimed to investigate the relationship between the severity of COVID-19 pneumonia detected by CT and the clinical and laboratory characteristics of the patients. Material and Method: The data of the inpatient or outpatient patients treated due to COVID-19 infection were evaluated retrospectively. The patients were divided into 3 groups as patients with mild, moderate, and severe CT scores. Results: 53 patients were treated as inpatients while 84 patients were treated as outpatients. 82 of 137 patients had mild, 31 of them had moderate, and 24 of them had severe CT scores. Median follow-up was 9 days. The difference between age, pulse, oxygen saturation values, AST, ferritin, CRP and D-dimer values of the groups was statistically significant. Conclusion:In conclusion, simple to apply CT scoring systems correlate with the clinical course of COVID-19 infection and can be used in clinical practice.
