The investigatin of diethylstilbestrol (DES) and zeranol residues by gas chromatography experimentally in rabbits and in organs of slaughtered animals
The residues of diethylstilbestrol (DES) and zeranol in the tissues and their clearence times from the organs and tissues of rabbits were determinated by a modified Stan et al.(42)'s method. At the second stage, the determination of these anabolisans in the samples taken from 44 beef bulls from diffrent districts of Istanbul was aimed. At the first stage of study, 1-2 weeks old, 300 ±15 g weighing and total 60 male white rabbits were used. The rabbits were invided into 3 groups as control, DES and zeranol. DES and zeranol were injected to the assay groups. Euthanasia was started 24. hours after the administration and continued 48 hours periodically. The liver, kidney and muscle samples were analysed. Residues were recovered in both groups after the first 24 hour, the most residue was found in the liver in both groups. At the second stage, no residue was recovered in the samples collected from slaughter houses.
