COMPARING MODERNIZATION IN IRAN AND TURKEY

The present paper examines and compares the questions whether there are any differences between Iran and Turkey in modernization and if this is the case whether this is gender equality, family values, or secularity that causes such differences. Data from the Iranian and the Turkish part of the World Values Survey (WVS) forth wave are used for the empirical analysis.
