INVESTIGATION OF USABILITY OF ZEOLITE, FLY ASH AND WASTE GLASS MATERIALS IN PORTLAND COMPOSITE CEMENT PRODUCTION

In this study, usability of zeolite, fly ash and waste glass materials in the production of Portland composite cement was investigated. For this aim, a Portland cement clinker, a zeolite, a fly ash and a waste glass were used to obtain ternary blended cements that contain 5, and 10 % (by weight) mineral additives and thereby Portland composite cements were obtained. Grinding duration of produced cements was kept constant. Chemical compositions, physical properties and tensile and compressive strengths, at the age of 7, 28 and 90 days, of produced composite cements were compared with control cement sample as called CEM I Portland cement. Obtained test results have shown that, produced composite cements are convenient to related TS EN 197-1 and zeolite, fly ash and waste glass can be used as an additive material in the production of Portland composite cements.
