ATIK KIZARTMA YAĞINDAN ELDE EDİLEN METİL ESTERİN ÖN YANMA ODALI BİR DİZEL MOTORDA KULLANIMININ PERFORMANS VE EMİSYONLARA ETKİSİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Bu çalışmada, palmiye yağı kökenli atık kızartma yağından elde edilen metil ester, dört silindirli, doğal emişli, ön yanma odalı bir dizel motorda alternatif dizel yakıtı olarak kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen motor test sonuçları, petrol kökenli dizel yakıt (PKDY) ile yapılan ölçümler referans alınarak karşılaştırılmıştır. Motor performansı ve egzoz emisyon seviyelerini belirlemek amacıyla, motor tam yük-değişik devir testlerine tabi tutulmuştur. Deneyler sonucunda, metil ester kullanımı ile motorun döndürme momenti, efektif gücü petrol kökenli dizel yakıtına kıyasla azalma gösterirken, özgül yakıt tüketiminde ise hafif bir artış olmuştur. Deneylerde, her bir yakıt için karbon monoksit (CO), karbon dioksit (CO2), yanmamış hidrokarbon (HC), azot oksit (NOx) ve duman koyuluğu değerleri ölçülmüştür. Emisyon testleri, metil esterin HC, CO ve duman koyuluğu emisyonlarında petrol kökenli dizel yakıtına kıyasla önemli azalmalar sağladığını göstermiştir. Fakat, metil ester kullanımı ile NOx emisyonu PKDY’a kıyasla artmıştır.
