ÜCRETLER VE BÜYÜME İLE DOĞRUDAN YABANCI YATIRIMLAR ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN EKONOMETRİK ANALİZİ

20. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren, doğrudan yabancı yatırımları gelişmekte olan ülkelere yönlendiren temel etkenin ucuz emek olduğu belirtilmektedir. Ayrıca, gelişmekte olan ülkelere yapılan doğrudan yabancı yatırımların, gidilen ülkedeki büyüme oranlarından etkilendiği de ileri sürülmüştür. Bu çalışmada, 1980-2002 yılları arasındaki veriler kullanılarak Türkiye’deki reel ücretler ve GSMH büyümesi ile Türkiye’ye gelen doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar arasındaki ilişki test edilmiştir. Kullanılan değişkenler durağan olmayan özellik gösterdikleri için eşbütünleşme analizi kullanılmıştır. Buna göre ücretler, GSMH ve doğrudan yabancı sermaye arasında uzun dönemli eşbütünleşik ilişkinin varlığı tespit edilmiştir

Foreign Direct Investments flowed towards developing countries to take advantage of cheap labor starting from the second half of the 20th century. Besides, it is postulated that foreign direct investments are influenced by the growth rates of the targeted countries. In this study, the relationship between real wages, growth, and foreign direct investment is examined using 1980-2002 data for Turkey. Because the wariables used are not stationary, cointegration analysis is employed. Results indicated that there is a cointegration relationship between real wages, growth, and foreign direct investments
