ÜNİVERSİTELERİN RESİM-İŞ ÖĞRETMENLİĞİ LİSANSÜSTÜ PROGRAMLARINDA YER ALAN DERSLERİN KARŞILAŞTIRILMALI OLARAK DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

The goal of this research is to evaluate both the lessons that are involved in post- graduate programs of "paint-work teaching" and the lesson fields, names definitions and content of this process. By these way comparisons between the views of authorities and students about the program and the education staff with the planning, practice and goals of post graduate programs are made, in order to find out if there are meaningful differences between the levels of the programs to reach the goals of the higher education. Besides that, the other target of this research is being able to evaluate both the objectives in the field of "paint-work teaching" and the targets of this reconstructive program with post graduate programs. 6 universities that carry out the postgraduate program in at the field of "paint-work teaching" are participating in this research. These 6 universities are Anadolu Universitiy, Dokuz Eylül University, Gazi University, Selcuk University, 19 Mayıs University, and Marmara University. In the years 1995-2001 post-graduate programs of these universities have been researched. The opening years of the doctoral programs of Marmara University and 19 Mayıs University were within the limits, because of this, interviews were made with the 4 other universities. 11 people that were interviewed were educational staft: 6 were managers and 15 were Students. In these 4 universities 26 interviews were made. This research was made by using a qualitative research method. One more time in this research qualitative data collection methods were used. These methods were interview, observation and the investigation of documents. The first of the qualitative data collecting tools were the official documents about "paint-work teaching" of the 6 universities that were mentioned. If these documents are at hand, they serve as summaries abut lesson programs, lesson education programs and thesis names. The second source is interview forms; these forms have been used during interviews of educational staff and students. In addition to these tools, because of the difficulty of attaining documents of the institution, observation foms have been prepared. By digitalizing qualitative data, multiplication tables and other tables have been formed. Content analyzes about the detailed presentation of the educational staff and the students have been made. Descriptive analyzing techniques have been used to compare these detailed presentations with official documents. Results of data analyzes demonstrate that the focus of the related field is more in lessons about field knowledge. In other programs practice workshops are of great importance. Even if the post-graduate program names of "paint-work teaching" are the same at the universities, meaningful differences between the curriculum, the goals and targets and the structuring of the goals and targets have been noticed. The goal of the reconstruction program in educational faculties is to put the system of education for teachers in an autonomous structure and to provide a whole. If reconstruction is evaluated from this point of view, in order to gain educational staff with academic careers, to specialize and to have opportunities of research and publication, positive developments have been achieved by excluding high education from the monopoly of persons and political sights. But whether the same construction meets the needs of the post education-instruction has been discussed. The determination of the adequacies related with the subject has been made by comparing the qualities of the programs. The evaluation results shows that workshop practice lessons of "paint-work teaching" license programs are located within the field of knowledge lessons. The limits of the contributions that these lessons could make for science researches have been evaluated by considering the targets and goals that have been determined by the High Education Committee. The goals are especially advanced research, functionally of lessons that jrnprove the professional qualities of the teachers and practicing a program that makes a scientific emphasize to the license knowledge. From the point of view of the characteristic of the license program, it would be useful to stad with realistic goals and targets while evaluating the similarities and differences between the university programs.
