THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT ROTATIONAL SPEED SETTINGS ON THE APICALLY EXTRUDED DEBRIS AND DENTINAL MICRO-CRACK FORMATION OF PROTAPER NEXT SYSTEM

Background and Aim: To evaluate the effect of different speed settings of ProTaper Next (PTN) on the amount of apically extruded debris and dentinal micro-crack formation. Materials & Methods: Thirty-six extracted mandibular molars were selected. The mesiobuccal root canals were instrumented by using PTN files. Roots were randomly assigned into 3 groups and inserted into pre-weighted eppendorf tubes. Root canals were prepared with PTN X1 and X2 instruments rotating at 100 rpm (group 1), at 300 rpm (group 2) and at 400 rpm (group 3). Constant 2 Ncm torque was used in all groups. Distilled water was used as an irrigation solution. After evaporation of distilled water, eppendorf tubes were weighed again. The difference between pre-and post-debris weights of eppendorf tubes was calculated. Statistical analysis was performed using one-way variance analysis test (p

FARKLI HIZ AYARLARINDA KULLANILAN PROTAPER NEXT SİSTEMİNİN DENTİNDE MİKRO ÇATLAK OLUŞUMUNDAKİ VE APİKALDEN TAŞAN DEBRİS ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı farklı hız ayarlarında kullanılan ProTaper Next (PTN) eğe sisteminin, apikalden taşan debris ve kök dentininde oluşan mikro çatlak üzerindeki etkilerini değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmada 36 tane mandibular molar diş kullanıldı. Kök kanal preparasyonları PTN eğeleri kullanılarak yapıldı. Her grupta 12 örnek olacak şekilde dişler rastgele 3 gruba ayrılarak önceden tartılmış ependorf tüplere yerleştirildi. Kök kanalları 100 rpm (Grup 1), 300 rpm (Grup 2), ya da 400 rpm (Grup 3) hızında dönen PTN X1(17/.04) ve X2(25/.06) eğeleri ile şekillendirildi. İşlem sırasında tüm gruplarda sabit 2 Ncm tork kullanıldı. Distile su irrigasyon solüsyonu olarak kullanıldı. Ependorf tüpleri içerisindeki distile su buharlaştırıldıktan sonra ependorf tüpleri tekrar tartıldı. Preparasyon öncesi ve sonrası ependorf tüp ağırlıkları asındaki fark ölçüldü. İstatistiksel analiz tek yönlü varyans analizi ile yapıldı (p
