Liability & Compensation for Personal Injury and Death Resulting from Road Traffic Accidents in Turkey

Liability and compensation for personal injury and death resul-ting from road traffic accidents is one of the great issues on the liabi-lity and compensation agenda of our time. Applicable liability regu-lations of Turkish Law in road traffic accident cases are of impor-tance because once a road traffic accident occurs in Turkey; Turkish law applies to the dispute. It is also significant to mention about the Turkish compensation system based on the distinction of personal injury compensation and compensation in the event of death as a result of a road traffic accident. In light of this distinction, we examine basic issues in codi-fied legal system as well as the policy approaches behind in order to focus on how someone can get damages.
