İneklerde farklı dozlarda PGF_${2alpha}$ uygulamalarının ve östrus belirleme yöntemlerinin gebelik oranlarına etksi
Bu çalışmada, sütçü ineklerde farklı dozlarda PGF2a uygulamalarının ve östrus belirleme yöntemlerinin gebelik oranlarına etkisi belirlenmeye çalışıldı. Çalışmada postpartum 35 günü tamamlamış, en az bir östrus göstermiş, sağlıklı 45 Holstein inek kullanıldı, inekler 15'erli 3 gruba ayrıldı. Günlük muayenelerde 6-8 MHz'lik multiple frekanslı prob taşıyan B Mode Real-time ultrasonografi kullanıldı. Grup I'e ovaryum üzerinde olgun bir korpus luteum (KL) ve dominant follikül (DF) belirlendiği siklusun herhangi bir gününde tek doz $PGF_{2alpha}$ uygulandı. Grup IFye östrus siklusunun 7. gününde 7 saat arayla iki doz $PGF_{2alpha}$ enjeksiyonu yapıldı. Grup Ill'deki (kontrol grubu) inekler siklusun 17. gününden itibaren izlendi.
The effects of different doses of PGF_${2/alpha}$ administrations and estrous detection methods on pregnancy rates in cows
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of different PGF2a, regimens and estrous detection techniques on the pregnancy rates in cows. In the study, 45 healthy cows which had completed a postparturient 35 days-duration and showed at least one detectable estrous were used as the material. Cows were divided into 3 groups each consisting of 15 cows randomly. A 6-8 MHz, multiple frequence probe attached, B Mode Real-time ultrasonography was used. Group I, a single $PGF_{2alpha}$ treatment, were done to the cows having a mature corpus luteum and dominant follicle at any time at the cycle. Contrary, two $PGF_{2alpha}$ injections were made on day 7 of the estrous cycle with a 7 hours interval in Group II. Group III (control group) only detections were made without any hormone treatments from day 17 and on. Estrous detections were conducted with observation, electronic activity scaling instruments and RP/USG techniques in all groups. All estrous detected cows were artificially inseminated after 12 hours. Pregnancy estimations were done with USG after 3 weeks and rectal palpation after 40 days. As a result, no significant differences -in preovulatoric follicle diameters were observed between PG treated groups and controls (p=0,081 ). Any relations between the diameter of the preovulatoric follicle and the estrous detection tecniques could not be found. It was evident that the best technique for estrous detection was found to be RP/USG methods (%100) and it could be advised to use the other two techniques combined with the former, for this manner. Pregnancy rates did not differ in both 3 groups. Thereby, neither the hormone treatments nor the estrous detection techniques are found to be effective on pregnancy rates.
