Dizin sağlamlığında büyük önemi olan ACL’in (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) Doğumsal yokluğu, az görülen, ancak dizde önemli bir sakatlık oluşturan bir deformitedir. Tanı güçlüğü, az rastlanması ve özellikle, olgumuzda olduğu gibi, menisektomi sonrası instabilitenin ve dejeneratif artritin daha da artması gibi nedenlerle ACL doğumsal yokluğu ile ilgili literatür gözden geçirildi ve bir olgu sunuldu.

ACL (Anterior cruciate ligament) has a significant role in knee stability. Its congenital aplasia is ralely seen. However, when it occurs, it constitutes an important deformity. A rare instance is here presented alogwith a review of relevant literature from the viewpoint of diagnosis difficulity, its raity, and especially, as with the case presented here, the increase in instability and in degenerative arthirits following meniscectomy.
