Kablosuz iletişimin ilerleyişi, doğal olarak kablosuz uygulamaların sayısını da arttırmıştır. Artan uygulamalar ise mutlaka bir noktada daha öncekilerle kesişmek zorundadır. Bu noktada, elde edilen ilerlemelerin uyumluluğu ve ortak iş görebilmeleri zorunlu hale gelir. Uyumluluk ve ortak iş görebilme, kesişen teknolojilerin eksik tarafları da göz önünde bulundurularak gerçeklenmelidir. WAP teknolojisi, kablosuz teknolojilerden biri olup, "kablosuz Web" kavramını ortaya koymuştur. Böylece, Web uygulamalarının benzerleri, kablosuz cihazlara uygun olacak şekilde de gerçeklenebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada WAP omurgasına dayalı, genel WAP senaryosuna uygun olarak gerçeklenen bir çalışma (SAA-W) geliştirilmiştir. Uygulamanın ayrıntılarında, kablosuz teknolojilerle kablolu iletişimin ortak çalışabilirliğine değinilmiş ve geleceğe yönelik öneriler ileri sürülmüştür.

Advance of the wireless technologies increase the number of wireless applications. Increasing applications have to intersect with the preceding ones. At this point, adaptivity and interoperability of the advances become inevitable. Adaptivity and interoperability has to be implemented by allowing for them. WAP technology is one of the wireless technologies that brings about "wireless Web" concept. Thus, applications which are similar to the Web applications can be implemented too on wireless devices appropriately. In this paper, an application (SAA-W) has been developed which is based on WAP architecture, and also suitable for the general WAP scenery. In the details of the application, it has been mentioned about wireless and wired technologies? interoperability and proposed some suggestions for future.
