Important persons may be heros for children and next generation. In this study, characters in the textbooks of Social Studies (6th -7th grades) and T.R. Revolution and Kemalism (8th grade) were examined in views of how important for the primary 8 grade students. This study was designed with survey method, and developed a likert-type scale to determine students' opinions about characters in the books. The study was carried out with 512 8th grade students ongoing primary schools in Sincan, in Ankara. Data were evaluated according to percent/frequencies and means. Findings is important in terms of demonstrate the important persons of the children who may be role–model of these children.
