Gelenek geçmiş ile gelecek arasına kurulan köprüdür. Âşık edebiyatı da bu köprülerden birisidir. Âşık edebiyatında ağıt, bayatı, destan, deyişme, divani, koşma, taşlama, tecnis bir de Dedim-dedi türü vardır. Bu tür, halk şiirinde saygın olarak kullanılan bir biçim olup koşma ve semailerdeki âşık ve sevgilinin (dedim-dedi ifadesine bağlı) karşılıklı söyleşmelerdir. Bu tür söyleşme/atışmada daha ziyade sevgilinin söyleyeceği sözleri de sevgilinin dilinden aşığı söyler . Bu çalışmamızda âşıkların hayatlarından kısa özetlerle birlikte Dedim-dedi türü şiir örneklerini verirken âşıkların birbirlerinden etkilendiklerini tespit ettik. Sözlü kültürün yaygın olduğu dönemlerde bu etkilenmelerin olmaması mümkün değildir. Âşık edebiyatında araştırmalarımızın dışında kalan yüzlerce Dedim-dedi örneklerini bulabiliriz. Bu örneklerini geçmişten bugüne yaşatan Âşık Ömer, Erzurumlu Emrah, Kaygusuz Abdal, Kul Nesimi, Gevheri, Âşık Elesger, Âşık Huzurî, Seyrani, Âşık Ruhsâtî, Âşık Zülâlî, Âşık Şemşir, Âşık Yaşar Reyhanî, Âşık Cemal Divani vs. âşıkların söylemiş oldukları Dedim-dedi türündeki şiirlerinin bölümlerini almaya çalıştık.

Tradition is a bridge between the past and the future. Minstrel literature is also one of those bridges. There is a genre of I said - She said in minstrel literature besides dirge, bayati, epic, dialogue, collection, qoshma, satire, tecnis etc. This is a prestigious genre in folk poetry consisting of the dialogues of the lover and beloved (statements of "I said - She said) in the qoshmas and samais. Generally, it is expressed by the lover regarding the contention between the lover and beloved. In this study, we cited the examples of I Said-She Said poetry types with short summaries of the poets, and ascertained that poets are affected from each other. It is unlikely to prevent from this influence in the periods when the oral culture is common. We can also see hundreds of examples for I said - She said genre in minstrel literature besides our study. We cited from the poems of Asik Omer, Erzurumlu Emrah, Kaygusuz Abdal, Kul Nesimi, Gevheri, Asik Elesger, Asik Huzuri, Seyrani, Asik Ruhsati, Asik Zulali, Asik Semsir, Asik Yasar Reyhani, and the collection of Asik Cemal, who are the poets keeping the I said-She said tradition from the past to present.
