HEMŞİRELİK FAKÜLTESİ ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN ROMANTİK YAKIN İLİŞKİ ŞİDDETİNİ KABUL ETME DÜZEYLERİ VE ETKİLEYEN FAKTÖRLER

ÖZET Amaç: Bu araştırma, hemşirelik fakültesi öğrencilerinin romantik yakın ilişki şiddetini kabul etme düzeylerini ve etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla planlandı.Yöntem: Araştırma, İstanbul’da bir devlet üniversitesinde okuyan 322 hemşirelik fakültesi öğrencisi ile 16-27 Şubat 2015 tarihleri arasında tanımlayıcı olarak gerçekleştirildi. Veriler “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, “Çiftler Arası Şiddeti Kabul Ölçeği (ÇAŞKÖ)” ile toplandı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde; sayı, yüzdelik, ortalamalar, medyan değerleri, Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis testi kullanıldı.Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %57,7’sinin 18-20 yaş aralığında olduğu, öğrencilerin %92,5’inin kadın olduğu, %32,6’sının 3. sınıfa gittiği, %50,6’sının Marmara bölgesinde doğduğu saptandı. Öğrencilerin %37’sinin bir ilişki yaşadığı, %4,3’ünün ilişkide şiddete maruz kaldığı ve %3,7’sinin ilişkisinde şiddet uyguladığı belirlendi. ÇAŞKÖ’den aldıkları ortalama puan 13,76±4,94’dir. Öğrencilerin tanıtıcı özellikleri ile çiftler arası şiddeti kabul düzeyleri puan ortalamaları karşılaştırıldığında, erkek öğrencilerin kadın öğrencilere göre, kardeşine şiddet uygulayanların uygulamayanlara göre, ilişkide şiddette maruz kalanların kalmayanlara göre ve ilişkide şiddet uygulayanların uygulamayanlara göre istatiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu görüldü (p<0.05).Sonuçlar: Öğrencilerden erkek olanların, kardeşine şiddet uygulayanların, ilişkilerinde şiddete uğrayanların ve şiddet uygulayanların romantik yakın ilişki şiddetini kabul etme düzeyleri yüksek bulundu.Anahtar kelimeler: Çiftler arası şiddet; Romantik ilişkiler; Şiddet eğilimi; Üniversite öğrencileriABSTRACT Level of Intimate Partner Violence Among Nursing Faculty Students and Related Factors Aim: This research was planned to determine the level of acceptance of the romantic intimacy of nursing faculty students and the influencing factors.Method: The study was conducted as descriptive study between 322 nursing faculty students studying at a state university in Istanbul between 16-27 February 2015. The data were collected with the "Personal Information Form", "Acceptance of Couple Violence Scale (ACVS)". In evaluating the data; number, percentage, averages, median, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis test were used.Results: 57.7% of the students participated in the study were between 18-20 years of age, It was determined that 92.5% of the students were girls, 32.6% were in the 3rd class, 50.6% were born in the Marmara. It was determined that 37% of the students experienced a relationship, 4.3% were subjected to violence in the relationship and 3.7% were violent in their relationship. The mean score they received from ACVS was 13.76 ± 4.94. Comparing the personal characteristics of the students with the levels of acceptance of violence between couples, male students were significantly higher than female students compared to those who did not apply violence to their siblings and those who did not (p <0.05).Conclusion: The level of acceptance of romantic close relationship violence among males, siblings, related violence and violence practitioners was high.Keywords: Couple Violence; Romantic relations;Violence Tendency; University students 

Level of intimate partner violence among nursing faculty students

Aim: This research was planned to determine the level of acceptance of the romantic intimacy of nursing faculty students and the influencing factors.Method: The study was conducted as a cross-sectional and descriptive study between 322 nursing faculty students studying at a state university in Istanbul between 16-27 February 2015. The data were collected with the "Personal Information Form", "Acceptance of Couple Violence Scale (ACVS)". In evaluating the data; number, percentage, averages, Mann Whitney U test were used.Results: The mean age of the students who participated in the survey was found to be 20.21 ± 1.62. It was determined that 92.5% of the students were girls, 32.6% were in the 3rd class, 50.6% were born in the Marmara and 47.2% were living in the city. It was found that 94.4% of the students had one or more siblings and 40.7% of them had violence against their siblings. The mean score they received from ACVS was 13.75 ± 4.94. Comparing the personal characteristics of the students with the levels of acceptance of violence between couples, male students were significantly higher than female students (p <0.05), compared to those who did not apply violence to their siblings and those who did not. Conclusion: The level of acceptance of romantic close relationship violence among males, siblings, related violence and violence practitioners was high.
