HASTALARIN AMELİYAT ÖNCESİ DÖNEME YÖNELİK BİLGİ EDİNMEDE İNTERNETİ KULLANMA DURUMLARININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

ÖZET Amaç: Bu çalışma hastaların ameliyat öncesi döneme yönelik bilgi edinmede interneti kullanma durumlarının değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmış tanımlayıcı, kesitsel tipte bir araştırmadır. Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemini 02 Ocak 2017-30 Mart 2017 tarihleri arasında İzmir İli’nde bir üniversite hastanesinde yatan, araştırmayı kabul eden, 18 yaş ve üzeri toplam 325 hasta oluşturdu. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından literatür bilgisi doğrultusunda geliştirilen soru formu kullanıldı. Elde edilen veriler bilgisayara kodlanarak SPSS 18.0 paket programı ile analizleri yapıldı. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan 325 hastanın yaş ortalaması X=53.0±16.4’tür (min=18 max=85). Hastaların %53.8’inin erkek, %72’sinin evli, %32.3’ünün lise mezunu, %30.8’inin emekli, %61.8’inin çalışmıyor ve %47.1’inin büyük şehirde yaşıyor olduğu saptandı. Araştırmaya katılan hastaların %65.8’inin evinde bilgisayar bulunduğu, %72.6’sının günlük yaşamda internet kullandığı, %53.8’inin günde 2-4 saatini internette geçirdiği, %66.1’inin internet erişimi için telefon kullandığı, %66.2’sinin hastalığı ya da geçireceği ameliyatla ilgili bilgi almak için internet araştırması yaptığı, %54.4’ünün internetten edindiği bilgileri güvenilir bulduğu saptandı. Sonuç: Çalışmaya katılan hastaların çoğunluğu hastalıkları ve geçirecekleri ameliyatlar hakkında bilgi edinmek için internet araştırması yapmaktadır. Hastaların sağlık alanında bilgiye ulaşması için doğru ve güvenilir internet sitelerinin oluşturulması önemlidir. Anahtar kelimeler: Cerrahi hastalar; internet; sağlık bilişimi. ABSTRACT Evaluation of Internet Usage Situations by Patients for Preoperative Period Information Aim: This study is a descriptive, cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate of use internet in getting information for preoperative period of patients. As a data collection tool in the research, was used a questionnaire developed by researchers in line with literature knowledge. The questionnaires were analyzed by computer coding with SPSS 18.0 package program. Result: Average age of 325 patients participating in the research is X=53.0±16.4 (min=18 max=85). They were determined; 53.8% of the patients were male, 72% are married, 32.3% of high school graduates, 61.8% did not work, 30.8% are retired and 47.1% live in the big city. Patients who was participating in the study were determined; 65.8% had a computer at home, 72.6% used internet in daily life, 53.8% spent 2-4 hours a day on the internet, 66.1% used the phone for internet access, 66.2% had an internet search for information about the disease or surgery, 54.4% believed that information obtained from the internet is reliable. Conclusion: Most of the patients participating in the study are doing internet research to get information about diseases and surgeries. It is important for patients to establish accurate and reliable internet sites to access information in the health field. Keywords: Surgical patients; internet; health information.
