Türkiye'de Sermaye Piyasasının Gelişme Trendi ve Ekonomik Büyüme ile İlişkisi
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'de sermaye piyasasının nasıl bir gelişme gösterdiğini, fonksiyonlarmı hangi ölçüde gerçekleştirdiğini ve sermaye piyasası ile ekonomik gelişme arasında nasıl bir ilişki olduğunu araştırmaktır. Sermaye piyasasının gelişme göstergeleri olarak, 1986-2005 dönemi içirt İMKB'ye ait piyasa kapitalizasyon oram, piyasa dönüş oranı, işlem değeri ve yabancı sermaye girişi trend analizi ile incelenmektedir. Bununla birlikte, Gayri Safi Yurt İçi Hasıla (GSYÎH) ile bu piyasa göstergeleri yine trend analizi ile karşılaştırılarak sermaye piyasası ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki analiz edilmektedir. Araştırma sonucunda, dalgalanma göstermekle birlikte, sermaye piyasasının büyüme trendine sahip olduğu ve sermaye piyasasındaki gelişme ile ekonomik büyüme arasında güçlü bir ilişki olduğu ancak ilişkinin yönünün pek açık olmadığı görülmektedir.
Development of Capital Markets and its Relation with Economic Growth in Turkey
This study aims to analyse how the improvement of capital market in Turkey has taken place and how much it has performed its functions. It also aims to search if there is a linkage between capital market and economic growth. As development indicators of capital market, market capitalization ratio, market turnover, market value traded and foreign capital inflow for Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) have been examined with trend analysis during 1986-2005 period. In addition, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been compared with these market indicators by trend analysis to search the relation between capital market and economic growth. As a result, it is found out that with a fluctuation, capital market has had an increasing trend during the research period. There is also direct relation between economic growth and capital market development, but the direction of this relation is not clear.
